Laura Linney was one of the greatest American actors of recent times. Her powerful and vulnerable roles has made her a household famous. Her mother was an unmarried single mother who worked as a nurse. She became interested with theatre in summers spent by her famous father. She studied acting through Brown University, and later at Juilliard School. After graduating from Brown University she began making her Broadway debut shortly thereafter. In the space of two years from this, her first feature film was released and the next year she made her television debut. Since then she's been in many film, TV as well as stage productions. She received many accolades during her professional career, such as four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. Although she has received numerous accolades, she is still a lover of the theatre, and has appeared on stage and screen.
